What to Do After a Slip and Fall Accident

If you fall into liquid, take photos of that too. Write a description of what happened and who you spoke to. If there is video footage, ask for a copy of it.

Visit a Physician

Visit a doctor’s office or a hospital after the accident. If you have any injuries, you can be diagnosed and treated to move toward recovery. This can also show insurance companies that you did everything possible to avoid loss rather than making the injuries worse. Get copies of your x-rays, medical records, paperwork, test results, and bills.

File with Insurance

After your medical issues are taken care of, speak with the insurance company to file a claim. In most cases, the property owner will be responsible for these damaged.
